A key development is the newly designed user-friendly proof focused comprehensive website. This marks a significant milestone in the Gunmakers’ nearly 400-year commitment to excellence in firearm safety, regulation, and craftsmanship.

Founded in 1637, the Worshipful Company of Gunmakers has been at the forefront of regulating the quality and safety of firearms in the UK. The London Proof House, located in Whitechapel is the home of UK proofing, constantly ensuring that firearms meet the highest safety standards before they reach the consumer. As part of the Gunmakers' ongoing efforts to modernize while preserving and honouring its rich heritage, there are a number of stimulating developments within the Proof House, including cutting-edge proof technology, quality assurance technology and advanced safety measures that will further elevate the central role of the Proof House in the firearms industry.
